# Open a link from your phone on a hotel TV

If the hotel TV has a web browser, open kkll.li on it and scan the QR code with your phone. Your phone can use mobile data; the two devices do not need the same network. Many hotel TVs lock or remove the browser, in which case this will not work.

- A hotel TV with an accessible web browser.
- Internet access on the TV and on your phone.
- A phone that can scan QR codes with its camera.

## Steps

1. **Find the TV browser.** Look for an Internet or Web Browser app in the TV menu.
2. **Go to the TV address.** Type kkll.li and wait for the QR code.
3. **Scan and send.** Scan the QR code, paste your link, tap Send, then select Open on the TV.

## Why casting often fails in hotels

Casting and AirPlay rely on devices discovering each other on the local network. Guest networks usually isolate devices, so discovery fails.
